Our Journey

Experience in Heritage Conservation and Management

Cultural Heritage Society

2020 – Current, Heritage Steward

I coordinated conservation efforts for historical sites, ensuring that architectural integrity was preserved. My role involved engaging with local communities to gather insights and support for projects. I also worked closely with craftsmen to maintain traditional restoration techniques.
I developed educational programs that highlighted the importance of preserving our local heritage. Through workshops and events, I fostered community involvement and raised awareness about the cultural significance of our sites. This led to increased public support for conservation initiatives.
I managed volunteer teams during restoration projects, providing guidance and training in preservation methods. This hands-on experience not only helped in the physical restoration but also empowered participants to take pride in their local history. I tracked project progress and reported to stakeholders.

Local Arts Council

2016 – 2020, Program Coordinator

I organized cultural events that showcased local artists and artisans, fostering a connection between the community and its traditions. My responsibilities included logistics planning and outreach to ensure high attendance and community engagement.
I collaborated with schools and educational institutions to integrate heritage education into their curriculums. This initiative aimed to educate younger generations about the importance of cultural preservation and architectural history.
I facilitated partnerships with local businesses to sponsor events and programs, enhancing funding for heritage projects. By building these relationships, I helped to secure resources necessary for ongoing community engagement and preservation efforts.

Historical Society

2009 – 2016, Community Engagement Officer

I led outreach initiatives to engage diverse community groups in historical preservation efforts. This included planning activities that welcomed families and engaged them in learning about local history through interactive experiences.
I gathered and curated stories from local residents to create a rich narrative around the chapel and its significance. This storytelling initiative not only documented personal histories but also reinforced community ties.
I conducted surveys and feedback sessions to assess community interest in various heritage programs. This feedback was instrumental in refining our offerings and ensuring they met the needs and desires of the community.
